So much stuff going on these days with non-relational databases it's sort of hard to wrap my head around it. I'm pretty SQL focused and we use MySQL as our database on pretty much everything in SB Direct and Khomodo with a few spots where we're using Postgresql for a couple things but I keep hearing a lot about these new non-relational databases such as MongoDB, CouchDB and the like, that it's hard not to wonder if perhaps the old adage "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" might not be apt. Time to find a project where I might have just reflexively used MySQL and maybe give MongoDB a try instead.
