Well the Chicago City Council finally realized that their stupid, short-sighted ban on foie gras did nothing to stop "animal cruelty" and merely turned our city into the laughing stock of the culinary world.

The ban on the sale of Foie Gras by uninformed, yet sincere, animal rights activists reminds me of the attempts during the run up to the Gulf War by misguided jingoists to rename French Fries as Freedom Fries.
If you want to stop cruelty to animals who are raised as meat you need to help us put an end to factory farming which happens to be how MOST Americans get their meat. Foie Gras ducks live lives pampered in luxury compared to a Purdue Chicken.
