It's interesting that Rush Limbaugh has sort of emerged as the de-facto head of the Republican Party. I would have thought that after losing the presidency in 2008, 51 seats in the house and 14 seats in the senate in 2006 and 2008 and President Bush wining re-election by the narrowest margin in American history in 2004 that the Republicans would have stepped back and rethought what this party is all about a little more.
